Random Noodle Update: April 12, 2008
A new show will be added to the Ramen Noodle. I’m calling it Random Noodle Updates. In this episode, I cover:
- Introduction to the new show.
- I’m purchasing varieties of chicken-flavored ramen noodles for a future smack-down. Do you have suggestions?
- Please leave comments on this site or give me ratings and comments in iTunes. You may be eligible for future giveaways if you leave comments in iTunes.
- I purchased a new microphone and Behringer 1204 mixer that should drastically improve recording quality. What do you think?
- Please check the nonpodcasted entries on the website:

Dear Mr. Noodle,
Was that actually you singing in the “I’m so lonely” music clip? And the “update” clip?

Um … yes, it is. Though those are highly processed versions of my voice.

Wow - you’d give the musical slugs a run for their money.

Keep watching the website! I may release a CD someday! It may be blank, but at least we could put my name on it!

Here’s a comment for you! I will try to do them more often. It’s rather clever to give away ramen noodles.
Keep up the good work! Did you use your new microphone and mixing board? It sounded excellent!

What software do you use to record your audio? I like the idea about free ramen noodles!

I normally use Audacity to record the show itself, but GarageBand to record the music since GarageBand does better with the vocal changes than Audacity. I record on my Mac Mini because it’s my quietest PC.

I have used Audacity before. You mentioned you got a new mic what kind of mic did you get?

I bought this simple mic. It works pretty well, though pics up a lot of ambient noise.
